Privacy Policy

The directors, management, and staff of Capital Corp of the West (CCOW) and its affiliates (County Bank is an affiliate of CCOW) are concerned about and respect the privacy of our customers’/consumers’ non-public personal information. We understand that our customers furnish sensitive information to us in the course of daily business, and we are committed to treating such information responsibly. We know that our customers expect privacy and security for their personal and financial affairs.

Protecting Your Information:

Access to your non-public personal information is limited to those CCOW employees who need to know the information to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect your non-public personal information. We continually assess new technology for protecting information.

Information We Collect:

We collect non-public personal information about you to help serve your financial needs, provide customer service, offer new products or services, and fulfull legal and regulatory requirements. These types of non-public personal information may include:

  • Information we recieved from you on loan or deposit applications, or other forms, such as your name, address, and social security number
  • Information about your transactions with us, such as your payment history, account number, and account balance
  • Information from outside companies or third parties (i.e. credit bureaus) such as credit reports, motor vehicle reports and demographic information.

Information Sharing Policy:

CCOW and its affiliates do not now, nor do they intend in the future, to disclose any non-public personal information to any non-affiliated third party, except as permitted or required by law or regulation. When processing customers’ transactions, information is provided to unaffiliated third parties as necessary to effect, administer, or enforce a transaction requested or authorized by that customer, or in connection with servicing or processing a financial product or service that the customer had requested or authorized.

We may also disclose information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other organizations with whom we have joint marketing agreements to other financial products and services to you. When we disclose information to these types of third parties it will be under an agreement requiring them to protect your non-public personal information and prohibiting the use of the information beyond the performance of specified services on our behalf.

We do not share any non-public personal information about our former customers with anyone, except as permitted or required by law. If you terminate your relationship with us, we will adhere to the information policies and practices described in this policy, with regard to information we have collected on you.

Required Information Sharing:

We are permitted or required by law to share your non-public personal information with attorneys, accountants, auditors to enforce CCOW’s legal or contractual rights, credit bureaus and government entities in responding to subpoenas and other legal processes. We also share non-public personal information with whomever you request.

Termination of a Line of Business:

CCOW may make a decision to sell a particular line of business (for example, mortgage servicing rights). Usually, an integral part of that business is its customer database. CCOW reserves the right, in cicumstances such as these, to transfer ownership of such customer databases to the purchaser.
